One of the highlights in kindergarten is when the kids get to decorate their own "tree" with licorice, m&m's, pretzel sticks, spice drops, etc.. Once it was brought home it didn't last more than two days :)

I remember mine. The tree part was made out of clay with a bunch of toothpicks stuck in it. When the clay dried I painted it green and stuck gum drops on it. I remember having high hopes but it turning out less than my artistic aspirations had hoped. I see elementary education has not advanced all that much in 50 years....
